Description
In this episode, I dive into the question of whether Environmental Activism works to change the minds of people and/or governments. I use the organization called Just Stop Oil as an example because its members have been making headlines in the news, on opinion shows, and in videos all over social media. Many of the clips show angry people who are affected by the protests from the organization. The organization has a purpose of getting the government to stop its support of the fossil fuel industry by not approving any new oil and gas projects in the UK. Tune in to hear Andrew provide examples of organizations and individuals who have used activism to inspire millions and other organizations that have not been very successful. I want to note that I hope to have a representative from Just Stop Oil on the podcast to ask them how they plan to invoke an action from the UK government through their protests as well as other strategies.
