Tempers got high in game four between the Edmonton Oilers and the Vegas Golden Knights, which resulted in a defenceman from each team getting suspended. Alex Pietrangelo received a one-game suspension for his slash on Leon Draisaitl, and Darnell Nurse got the same punishment for an instigator penalty. Somehow the NHL Department of player safety determined that they were equal punishment.
