He is a former player and coach, and also the current manager of the Hokkaido Barbarians rugby club - three time winners of the All Japan Championship and the current No. 1 ranked club team in the country! The Barbarians chairman, Mr. Inao Tajiri, is also the chairman of the Hokkaido Rugby Football Union, and was a major proponent in Sapporo’s successful bid to get two of the 2019 World Cup games to take place at Sapporo Dome. Jamie also runs a rugby agency representing New Zealand players in Japan’s Top League and a small sportswear business.
