Description

In this episode of What's Up Wednesday, Karli reviews the newly released World Obesity Atlas 2023. This publication of the World Obesity Atlas marks the publication of the fifth annual World Obesity Atlas. Each Atlas has reported estimates for national obesity prevalence levels and trends, and each has also focused on a theme. This year’s theme is the economic impact of overweight and obesity and project how the economic impact will change by 2035. Karli reviews the data, and discusses what each of us can do to prevent the devastating projections for rising obesity rates that will impact billions of adults, and millions of children worldwide, unless we make significant changes.
