He enlisted in the Marine Corps as an Aviation Mechanic, but after 9/11, Miguel wanted to fight and changed his job to Infantry Rifleman. He got what he asked for and fought through Nasiriyah’s “Ambush Alley” during the Iraq invasion of 2003.
