Alice Marie Johnson spent 21 years in prison after she was sentence to life without parole in 1997 for cocaine trafficking in Memphis, Tennessee. 

She was a single mother of five children at the time and says all she did was relay coded phone messages for drug dealers.

Her story and the severe sentence got the attention of Kim Kardashian. The reality star took up Johnson's cause and visited the White House on her behalf in 2018.

Just a week later, President Trump granted her clemency and had her released.

Alice Marie Johnson recently joined the Rundown's Chris Foster to discuss her past, her time in prison and how she is using freedom to help others stay out of jail.

Johnson also discussed justice reform and the drugs policies that put her in prison for over two decades.
