TRAUMA is an American heavy metal band formed in 1981. After a long hiatus,  TRAUMA is back with new music and their fourth studio album, Awakening.

Awakening is much heavier and darker than the band's predecessor albums and features some of the thrash metal band's best work to date. With crushing riffs from Steve Robello and Joe Fraulob, pounding bass lines from Greg Christian, punishing drums from Kris Gustofson, all paralleled with the powerful vocals of Brian Allen, the album is sure to please long-time fans of the band as well as those who are new listeners.

We talk with drummer  Kris Gustofson about how the new CD came about, The new record deal with Massacre Records as well as the history of the band.So if you're looking for some new metal to get your fix, be sure to check out Awakening.
