Perth/Boorloo-based queer artist Grace Newton-Wordsworth fronts band Joan and the Giants, performing new release 'Cool Kid' in Melbourne this month.  The charged single charts the aftermath of coming out - one of the scariest things Newton-Wordsworth's ever done.  She reflected on her upbringing, connection to the queer community and music journey with Loughlin Patrick.
