You know how everyone says "shit is situational" because really it is? Well, so is cheating, and while there are some hard lines we agreed on. When it comes down to it though there is a sea of grey between it all.
While we each had our own feelings on certain aspects from fillmode to automated haste tiers or modes, and multibox addons such as Send or Superwarp. We all agreed that full-out automation or near it were a bridge too far.
The reality is that excessive botting, multiboxing, and the third party tools used to prop them up are degrading the game and quality of the community. Let alone certain public figures within Vana'diel society who make this seem normal.
No one should have to fight a horde of bots for Capacity Points, be blasted by spam yells when they enter town, or feel pressured to pay mercs to progress in the game, period. Least of all no new or returning player should be given the impression that any of this overall douchebaggery is acceptable.
