Description

When Ian first told me about this travel story, I honestly thought he was kidding. One thing is taking your kids on a vacation, but it's a whole different level of adventure and "bravery" if you wish, to embark on a round the World trip for a year to places you may not think were "kid compatible."Add to that, this feat was accomplished in 2008 and 2009, an era of economic downturn.Imagine quitting your secure job right before a recession to backpack around the world with an 8 and 10 year old. What would it be like to be that parent, let alone that child?Never has this story been more relevant than at a time when travel is restricted, family holidays are on hold and parents are having to cope with home schooling. This epic journey will of course be something that every member of the family will cherish forever. Great memories from adventures we did in the past stay with us and are more important than materialistic things.I have a lot of respect for Ian in this accomplishment.I urge you to listen to his story and check out his book, appropriately called, "Are we there yet?" Details are below:https://familytrippers.co.uk/https://twitter.com/TrippersFamilyhttps://www.instagram.com/originalfamilytrippers/ http://www.malcolmteasdale.com

After traveling on business for 30 years, what was I going to do after I sold my company in 2013? Answer: Travel more, but to the off-the-beaten-track and obscure places on planet Earth. After visiting almost 100 countries and living in 5 countries, I officially became a Travel Addict. Today, I am contracted by various Cruise Lines to perform enrichment and educational lectures to passengers on various journeys around the World. A podcast or two will be published from time to time when I am back in my office and of course it will be about travel. Oh, almost forgot. I write travel books - factual and quirky. Check me out at malcolmjteasdale.com.All my guests have an inspiring story to tell. Tune in and be amazed. "Of all the books in the world, the best stories are found between the pages of a passport"
