The Padres held a press conference for Yu Darvish on Friday at Petco Park, after the right-hander signed a 6-year extension with San Diego. The deal will run through the 2028 season and is reportedly worth $108 million. 

Sam interviewed Yu Darvish with interpreter Shingo Horie after the press conference, and then also talked with Padres President of Baseball Operations and General Manager AJ Preller. They discuss the new contract, Darvish's desire to stay in San Diego, the Padres' confidence in Darvish being effective into his 40s, if Darvish has a recruiting pitch to Manny Machado, and more.
