On January 11, 2013 a student was walking on top of the rolled up wrestling mats in the school gym of Lowndes High located in Valdosta, Georgia. While jumping from mat to mat they noticed what appeared to be a pair of human feet in Hanes socks tucked down the barrel of one of those mats. In a chilling discovery, that would lead to the most mysterious death in this county, 17-year old Kendrick Johnson’s body was found in horrific state being wedged towards the bottom of the mat. While the state of Georgia has ruled his death an accident, outside sources have claimed the body showed clear signs of foul play and there is a substantial amount of evidence that has gone missing. This is the mystery surrounding his death and the theories attached to the story.
