The Boston Bruins signed goaltender Brandon Bussi to a one-year, two-way contract extension through the 2023-24 season with an NHL cap hit of $775,000.
Don't fret, though; it's unlikely Bussi is the backup at the NHL level this season because he hasn't even made his Bruins debut.
What is most likely is Jeremy Swayman signing a one-year deal at a lower value than he deserves with the promise of bigger bucks when the team's cap hit is more managable.
If he's not open to that, though, it could result in Linus Ullmark being dealt, and Ian McLaren explores some free agent options to fill his spot if that happens.
