(6/14/23) Today will see the much-anticipated announcement by the Fed as to whether or not they will hike rates or pause, and what will that mean for the markets. With market breadth very narrow in this rally, there now signs of sector rotation emerging. CPI data yesterday suggested headline inflation is coming down sharply, but core inflation remains fairly "sticky."  All this pushes out to 2024 even the slightest scintilla of a chance for any rate cuts. Meanwhile in the markets, extreme deviation above the 200-DMA will eventually correct, and we're now seeing other areas of the markets starting to catch up with large cap stocks. Things are going to be more challenging until markets consolidate or have some sort of a correction. The Bear Market is now behind us, last year's correction is over, and that bottom was established. Every signal now suggests we're back into a bullish mode. That does not mean, however, you won't have 5-10% corrections along the way.
