Summary
After getting separated from Thorne, Cress must sneak around the castle alone, searching for the control room. Though Earthen diplomatic tries to stall her mission, Emperor Kai and Torin come to her aid.
As Kai creates a diversion for Cress, he extends his small power as Lunar King Consort, revealing how little respect the guards have for Earthen, even their leaders.
Back in the lumber sector, Winter and Scarlet are returning to full health and though they mourn those who died of the plague, they continue to plan for their revolution. But Cinder has plans for Jacin he isn’t willing to commit to, that is until a certain princess can convince him to join the Revolution.
