Description

Circling the inner sanctum of the temple is a a very common ritual in Hindu temples .This is called Parikrama or Pradakshina or Pradakshinam The devotees walk around the innermost chamber of the shrine housing the temple deity. It is done in a clockwise direction for an odd rather than for an even number of times. it is usually done three times .When one does that one's right side is facing the deity inside the garbhagraham and the circumambulation is Dakshinacharam or auspicous as recommended by the veda .It is performed to help unburden yourself of the baggage of stress ,negative emotions and materialism with which you have walked in to the temple . It helps you to be able to get into your spiritual self to connect with God in the temple. The first Circumambulation is to shed and unwind yourself from your worldy possesions and materialism .In the second circumambulation you need to disconnect yourself from relationships from your near and dear ones and your relatives ,that means no attachments .In the third and the final circumambulation you should unwind and disconnect from your own ego and sense of self. When you have successfully disconnected from all these three barriers in your thoughts ..then you can really connect with God by sitting quietly for a while in front of the deity and make your visit to the temple fulfilling .Our initiatives need your support: https://rzp.io/l/brajsundardasSupport our causePaypal: https://paypal.me/bdpayments?country.x=IN&locale.x=en_GB
