Description

In April of 1983, Barry Buss was 22-0, playing for the defending NCAA champs UCLA mens' tennis team, and set to break a record set by the one and only Jimmy Connors. A year later he was living in his van, no longer playing tennis, and had completely dropped out of UCLA. Barry shares his amazing comeback story with Patrick, as they discuss his book "You Can Get There From Here" which was released on the 10th anniversary of his sobriety. Barry also has great tips for parents raising junior players and ideas how tournaments of all sizes can be structured better with mental health in mind. A great wrap to Mental Health Month.Follow Patrick on social:Twitter: https://twitter.com/patrickMcEnroeYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@holdingcourtwithpatrickmcenroeInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/patrick.mcenroeThanks to our sponsor, North Organics CBD.
