The season in review series continues with a look at the Boston Bruins most common third pairing on the blue line: Connor Clifton and Derek Forbort.
On the surface, they were contributors to the best regular season in NHL history that allowed the fewest goals per game around the league. They also were very helpful on the penalty kill.
They were better apart than together, though, and the Bruins erred in sticking with Forbort for all 7 games against Florida.
Clifton is a free agent, Forbort has one season left on his deal. Could both be goners?
