Matt McLain showed flashes of his potential in his very first game with the Cincinnati Reds as he hit a double, drew a walk, and scored twice. McLain has the talent and the mentality to be a leader in the Reds lineup. His debut was overshadowed by a big day for the Colorado Rockies lineup as they scored a bunch on Hunter Greene. This start is not worrisome for Greene, though, as there's the Coors Field effect and Greene also showed growth with his changeup. The problem becomes the margin for error Greene has, which is slim and none, as Nick Lodolo hit the IL and the Reds bullpen is already quite stretched. The Reds need Greene's A-game. Also, the Reds called up Brandon Williamson to start on Tuesday night. Expect a rookie pitcher who is still growing into his game but has good stuff to work with. Also, Williamson's call up story will make you laugh.
