The Boston Red Sox made a move that fans had been waiting for for quite some time.
After the Red Sox's 9-1 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals at Fenway Park, Ryan Brasier informed the media he had been designated for assignment. Brasier had a rough outing, and with Joely Rodriguez getting set to be activated off the injured list, Brasier couldn't survive this round.
