LTG Beagle commissioned through Army ROTC and continually worked his way up the ranks of the U.S Army. Serving as a Platoon Leader, Operations Officer, Company Commander, Battalion Commander, and even Executive Officer to the Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S Army. His most notable role would be as Commanding General of the 10th Mountain Division and Fort Drum were he enacted a simple yet innovative leadership practice that earned him reverence from Soldiers around the country and world.
