On this week’s episode, the Starting 5 began the show recapping the Grizzlies' 103-93 victory against the Los Angeles Lakers in game two of the first round in the NBA Playoffs. Ja Morant missed the game with a bruised wrist injury he suffered in the Grizzlies' game one loss but the team prevailed with an almost must-win in game two.
In the next segment, the Starting 5 answered some game three questions surrounding the Grizzlies-Lakers series. The questions ranged from Xavier Tillman's continued impact, Jaren Jackson Jr staying out of foul trouble, and Rui Hachimura's impact among other things as the series shifts out to Los Angeles.
Next, the Starting 5 predicted games three and four between the Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Lakers. With the series tied at 1-1, it is imperative that the Grizzlies steal a game on the road to avoid a 3-1 deficit.
To close the show, the Starting 5 discussed the other series in the Westen Conference Playoffs and what has caught their attention the most. The Grizzlies' biggest rivals the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves are facing deficits in their series.
