Although Evil Dead Rise stands alone from the Sam Raimi/Bruce Campbell/Rob Tapert projects (Evil Dead '78, The Evil Dead, Army of Darkness and Ash vs. Evil Dead) and from 2013's Evil Dead by Fede Álvarez, Cronin's film ties the others together while still telling its own unique story. Set in a rundown LA apartment building, Our conversation explores those connections, and what happens after the final scene in the movie. Plus, we talk about dealing with buckets of blood, and getting beaten up by acting in this movie.
