Description
TikTok star Isaiah Garza joins Robert Peterpaul to discuss going from a childhood of poverty and homelessness to giving back, viral kindness videos on social media and much more.
You’ve no doubt come across Isaiah's moving viral videos. From surprising deserving people with money to people suffering from homelessness with houses, their videos are a bright spot in the newsfeed. Isaiah has amassed almost 8 million followers on TikTok with this kind-first content. Giving to others is second nature to the jewelry designer and activist. Isaiah’s story began in Yakima, Washington, where they grew up in poverty and often, they and their family struggled with homelessness. Many of Isaiah’s friends were killed by drug or gang violence. But Isaiah had dreams carried them to: Los Angeles.
Isaiah’s big break came when Rihanna wore one of their jewelry pieces in a magazine cover shoot. We get into that amazing story during our chat. Their designs have now adorned celebrities like Selena Gomez, Cardi B, Khloé Kardashian, Chance the Rapper, and Pete Davidson. Expanding into clothing now, Isaiah’s designs can be found online at isaiahgarza.com in addition to a variety of boutiques around the world. In addition to being a social media star, Isaiah is also the Drew-Gooder Ambassador on The Drew Barrymore Show and continues to work with various organizations to make the world a better place.
