In this episode we'll be discussing the newest Makoto Shinkai film, Suzume. High school student Suzume Iwato meets a mysterious young man asking for directions to the local ruins on her way to school. After directing him, she becomes curious herself and decides to head to the same destination. Once there, Suzume finds a solitary door, and beyond it, a dreamlike universe she cannot enter. Unbeknownst to her, what lays beyond has now been released and if not stopped, will wreak havoc across Japan.
