Description

Happy Birthday to the insanely talented blues artist Ally Venable, who turns 24 today! Ally, whose musical gift is deeply embedded in her soul, has been performing, singing and shredding for almost a decade now -- having first picked up a guitar when she was only 12 years old. Her latest album, Real Gone!, is a stunning collection of inspired songs and also serves as a fitting tribute to many current blues legends. A seasoned road warrior herself, Ally, who comes from a long line of Texas blues guitarists including her idol and inspiration, Stevie Ray Vaughan, is fortunate to count the incomparable Buddy Guy as a mentor — and she performed as part of the Blues legend's Farewell Tour this year. As one of Guitar World Magazine's "15 Top Young Guns," Ally is a beacon for young female guitarists and is very serious about her place as a role model for those just coming up -- she loves to be an inspiration to others and "to be part of their journey."  We explore her inspiration, musical background, what it means for her to be truly at home on stage.  So grab a seat on the Roadcase bus and help us celebrate Ally's birthday on this week's episode of Roadcase! For more info:https://allyvenableband.com/For more information on Roadcase: https://linktr.ee/roadcasepod and https://www.roadcasepod.comContact: info@roadcasepod.comRoadcase theme music:  "Eugene (Instrumental)" by Waltzer
