We’re not sure this was the right choice for the Academy’s highest honour in what was a dynamite year at the movies, but we still enjoyed this funny & weird Broadway offering from Alejandro G. Inarritu. There are some problematic elements that the film glosses over and the film is quite indulgent, but it’s a tremendous technical accomplishment and it's got plenty of good laughs.
