Description
Welcome to episode 11 of the Lovecars on the Grid podcast! Tiff Needell and Paul Woodman bring us another roundup of motorsport events from the past week!
This week, we have lots to talk about, including NASCAR, Aussie supercar disqualification, Extreme E in Saudi Arabia and the British Rally Championship to name but a few events to talk about!
We firstly pay our respects to Saif Ben Sulayem, son of FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem, who tragically lost his life in a car accident in Dubai.
We have controversy from Bahrain in Formula 1, as teams justify where they finished at the Bahrain GP, ranking the teams amongst each other.
Elsewhere, ex-Formula 1 driver, Jenson Button has announced that he will not only be racing at Le Mans, but also racing 3 races at NASCAR!
The World Endurance Championship series has been out testing in Sebring, with Toyota topping the manufacturers.
We've had cheating in Australian Supercars, where we saw the front two cars disqualified after putting additional cool boxes in the cars, affecting the safety of the car. NASCAR were racing at Phoenix, with another win for William Byron in the Chevrolet.
We had the Malcolm Wilson Rally in Cumbria for the British Rally Championship.
We had a dramatic race in Extreme E in Saudi Arabia, where we saw a 136 second penalty to Rossberg Racing for the driver speeding in the 'slow zone'.
Next weekend, we have Formula 1 in Saudi Arabia, the WEC 1000 mile race, IMSA are at Sebring. WRC returns in Mexico and NASCAR are in Atlanta!
