Selection Sunday gave us few surprises, including Nate Oats and the Alabama Crimson Tide being the number one overall seed. But Houston over Kansas for the midwest region was a surprise, and the Duke Blue Devils earned a very desirable five seed and could be primed for a deep run.
The bubble popped for the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers, who were the first team out of the Field of 68, followed by Oklahoma State and - somehow - North Carolina, who turned down an NIT bid.
Finally, we make our gut reaction Elite 8 and Final 4 predictions, both agreeing in a surprise run by Miami and an early exit from Purdue.
