Description
I used to write on a boom and bust model. I would write a lot. Maybe I would stay up most of the write. I would have a surge of inspiration, and then I would have long periods where I would not write. And I can tell you, it is not a very effective model because you can go for loooooong stretches without writing. I did this because I wanted to wait until I felt like writing. I wanted to wait until inspiration came to me. In some sense, I was waiting for the gift of the muse. Now, we all know there is not a literal muse (at least I hope we all know that), but I don't think we always act that way. We still wait for inspiration. Well, I am here to tell you that you should stop waiting for inspiration and get to work.
