Todd Field's "TÁR" had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival, where it won Cate Blanchett the Volpi Cup for Best Actress. It received the highest level of critical acclaim with critics' prizes from the New York Film Critics Circle, Los Angeles Film Critics Association, National Society Of Film Critics, and the London Film Critics Circle. It has received 6 Academy Award nominations: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Original Screenplay, Best Film Editing & Best Cinematography. Director/Writer Todd Field and cinematographer Florian Hoffmeiseter were kind enough to talk with Dan Bayer and me after their Oscar wins about their work on the film and the reception it has received since its premiere.
