After 400 days, state police in South Carolina are finally close to charging a suspect in connection to the June 2021 murders of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh. Thr Murdaugh family confirmed Tuesday, July 12, the suspect who will face charges is none other than Alex Murdaugh — Maggie's husband and Paul's father.Alex's brother, John Marvin Murdaugh, confirmed to podcast host Anne Emerson Tuesday South Carolina state police agents met with the Murdaugh family to inform them of criminal charges forthcoming against Alex related to Maggie and Paul's deaths.To be clear, charges haven't been formally brought against Alex just yet, and it's unclear specifically what he will be charged with.
