Description

On today's episode, Jason gets the party started by sharing the inside scoop on why Kevin Durant really demanded a trade out of Brooklyn. As J-Mac tells it, once Kyrie Irving was dealt, KD decided there was no way he was going to be stuck in Brooklyn with Ben Simmons as his main sidekick. Simmons has seen his play fall of a cliff the past few years so it makes sense why Durant would prefer a change of scenery. Later, Jason discusses how Derek Carr's character and upbringing will play in a big role in how he chooses his next team. Unlike most free agent quarterbacks Carr won't simply take his talents to the highest bidder; He's going to choose a team with a strong foundation and a culture he believes in. Finally, our fearless leader closes the show by sharing a quick thought on the Baltimore Ravens' decision to hire former University of Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken to call plays. It's highly unlikely that Lamar Jackson will get the fully-guaranteed deal he's been looking for which means it's also likely that he might not be long for the Ravens after all. Could Georgia legend Stetson Bennett ultimately replace Jackson in Baltimore?
