Description

London Pride 2022 celebrated 50 years of fighting for the right to love who we want and triggered some real emotions in us. Marching at the front of the parade were activists who were there when it all started back in 1972. Old and young together, the power of collective activism felt all the more poignant as other events around the world turn back the clock on our right to choose. This one comes directly from the heart. It is emotional. We hope you find some solidarity in joining us as we reflect on a joyful protest and a collective trauma. You might need tissues. You also get to hear Teia talk about when she was part of Dykes on Bikes...Trigger Warning: We talk about gun violence, terrorism and instances where it affects children. Teia and Lauren have worked in the humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding fields for...long enough. Now they’re travelling around in a campervan, on a journey to understand what organisational transformation does, and could, look like. Join them each week as they discuss their non-profit experience and invite guests from across different sectors to pull back the curtain on how organisations function (or not) and understand what can be done on an organisational and individual level to address complex social issues. Are you ready? Are you sure? It might sting. Get Premium Content on Patreon Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
