Description

Many of us grew up mindlessly celebrating many holidays throughout the year and perhaps never questioned why. Valentine's Day is simply another holiday that began as a Pagan tradition known as Lupercalia and was later re-branded. Lupercalia was celebrated to honor Lupercus, the ancient Roman god of Fertility. Therefore, this festival was held to celebrate Lupercus, fertility and purification. This ritual consisted of sacrificing both goats and dogs and also the whipping women. How did this evolve into what we now know as Valentine's Day? Well, if this topic interests you join us and listen!
