This week I chat with Donny Lee. 
Like a moth to a flame, country music fans are drawn to the warmth and charm of Donny Lee. A down-to-earth guy who knows no stranger, the Canadian / Nashville-based songwriter and performer has been using his musical gift since singing with his parents band as a young adult, and still strums the 65 Gibson Hummingbird his father taught him to play. Donny Lee’s magnetic personality is not only a perfect fit for the stage, he also makes every single audience member feel like they are at their own personal concert, no matter what size the venue. Regularly invited back to perform at festivals and fairs, it is Donny Lee’s mission to ensure his fans have the best time possible at his shows. For the past several years, Donny has become a very popular performer in Nashville, playing famous honkytonks such as Tootsie’s World Famous Orchid Lounge, while promoting himself as a Country artist. Reviewers and locals alike say that Donny Lee is a must see performer in Nashville, and making his show part of your trip to the city is essential to the experience. Currently working on his third album in Nashville with Victoria Goodvin and Greg Bates along with Nashville publishing companies, set to release next year, Donny Lee released his first album titled ‘Who I Am’ in 2017. His follow up album ‘Better Believe It’ was produced by CCMA Award-winning producer Bart McKay, and released in Fall 2018. He’s had five songs on the radio since 2017, including “Two Lane High” which had a successful 13 week run in the top 100 on the Trax Reporting Charts. His 5th single “Anyone Else” was released in July 2019, surpassing it’s predecessor in air time. With Roots deep in Country music, Donny Lee shoots straight from the hip in how he approaches life and the stage. His engaging, interactive performances create memorable experiences for country music fans, and his reviews are a testament to that.
