Description

In lieu of an interview, this week’s episode is a recording of a very personal session I had with Anjie Cho. Recorded in person in my apartment, Anjie gives me a consultation of my space through the lens of feng shui and design. You’ll hear what a session is like as well as walk away with interior design tips , but most of all you’ll hear a loose conversation between old friends where I tell her where I'm at in my life with everything from dating to money.  I tell her about where I'm at with everything from dating to money. Sessions always start with the question: what are your three wishes for your life? The wishes become a jumping off point to find adjustments in the nine different home areas, which in my case, where mostly related to increasing my assertiveness, connection, defined relationships, and creativity. This is Anjie’s 4th appearance on this podcast—she’s advised me on each of the spaces I’ve lived in since 2014. We tell how we met and she tells how she got into design through her love of art and portrait photography. Since 1999, she has been designing spaces informed by the ancient practice of feng shui and tailored to each individual’s needs, which you’ll get a taste of in this. She’s been featured everywhere from the New York Times to  Domino Magazine; she’s a New York State registered architect, co-founder of the Mindful Design Feng Shui School, and author of the book Holistic Spaces and the forthcoming Mindful Homes.Thank you for listening and let us know if you have any feng shui questions for your space in the comments of this post on Instagram and Anjie and I will answer if we can! : ) Show Notes:-This episode is sponsored by Brooklinen: get $20 off plus free shipping on orders of $100+ with code letitout-Find Anjie on the Web | Instagram | Feng shui school-Anjie's books: Holistic Spaces & Mindful Homes (available for pre-order)-Subscribe to our newsletter to get show notes + essays, etc. sent to your inbox-Follow @letitouttt on Instagram. I'm @katiedalebout-I made a shop for my recs!
