Description
Welcome to your monthly worship service, where each month in this season we will be taking a look at 2 films that influenced one of Tarantino's films. Under the microscope this month is Tarantino's first script he ever wrote, directed by the late Tony Scott, True Romance. The films we will be investigating to see if he simply referenced them in his films or blatantly ripped them off are, Shigehiro Ozawa's, "The Streetfighter" (1974) & John Woo's, "A Better Tomorrow 2" (1987). Sitting down with me this month to assist in my investigation is the duo know as the Asian Cinema Film Club, Mr. Elwood Jones & Mr. Stephen Palmer. So join us as we get to the bottom of wether or not Quentin Tarantino is in fact a master filmmaker or just a scene stealing, glorified hack.
