Description

Welcome to this English lesson about the verb “to do”. The verb “to do” is a bit strange. It sometimes is useful in a sentence, but sometimes it’s hard to understand why it is used. In this English class I’ll help you learn how to conjugate the verb “to do” in the most common two tenses, and how and when to use it.The verb “to do” in the present is often used to emphasize something, like, “I do like pizza.” instead of “I like pizza.” It’s also used to correct a misperception. If someone said, “I didn’t think you liked pizza!” You could respond and say, “No, I do like pizza!”In this English lesson I’ll try to explain some of the most common uses of “to do” including: the present to emphasize, the past, the negative, and when forming questions.I hope this English class about the verb “to do” is helpful, and that with some practice you can master its usage! Have a great day!Note: This is the audio portion of a Youtube English lesson which you can watch right  here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvFVRNr3M_Q or find by searching Youtube for, "Bob the Canadian Do"Support the show
