Description
Do you have a friend or family member whose house is so cluttered that you start to worry for their safety? Or are you so ashamed of your own home that you never have anyone over? If you want to learn the difference between having a cluttered home and hoarding, as well as how to help the best and the best way to help people who hoard, this episode is for you.
In this episode of Room by Room: The Home Organization Science Insights Podcast, host Gabriella Joustra is joined by the founder of For the Crowded House, Tania Reid. From beginnings based on empathy and energy to support people living in crowded houses' healthier and safer, For the Crowded House now provides secondary consultations, training, and lots of visits to homes in Naarm/Melbourne to work with people affected by hoarding disorder, OCD and agoraphobia.

Tania discusses what hoarding is, and the misconceptions of hoarding. She also talks about the dangers of hoarding and why you should combat the symptoms early.
