On May 12th, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced the newest members to grace their hallowed halls. Tina Turner, The Go-Go's, Foo Fighters, Jay Z, Todd Rundgren, and Carole King make up the 2021 class at the Rock Hall.


 
For today's podcast, Check Your Brain's Tony Mazur chats with John Goehrke, the Director of Fan Engagement and Onstage Experience at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland about the inductees, as well as the influencers such as Billy Preston and LL Cool J who also made it this year.
 


But how did the Rock Hall come about, and why Cleveland, Ohio of all places? Tony also talks to Norm N. Nite, long-time rock 'n' roll historian and radio DJ in Cleveland and New York City, about his latest book, The House That Rock Built. He is also the author of the Rock On series, an encyclopedia of the early days of the genre.
