It Takes Two is a 1995 romantic comedy… this film is inspired by the 1881 Mark Twain novel the Prince and the Pauper as well as the 1949 book Lisa and Lottie.
It Takes Two is the story of Amanda and Alyssa, played by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. Amanda is a New York City orphan hoping to find a family of her own one day. She is cared for at her orphanage by the sweetest social worker Diane, played by Kirstie Alley. Then we have Alyssa Callaway, her father Roger - played by Steve Guttenberg is a billionaire. Alyssa and Roger are very close however since his wife (her mother) passed away Roger has now, 10 years later started to date again and we meet CLARICE KENSINGTON.
