Description

The ROADMAP: 1) 5:52 — JETS FIRING OF GREGG WILLIAMS SPARKS MORE QUESTIONS OF TANKING: Tanking is frowned upon in all sports but it happens because of the way the NFL Draft rewards the league’s worst team by automatically giving it the first pick without a lottery. The question is whether this a fair reward for a team that questionably got exposed on Sunday with an unfathomable play call with the game on the line. A miracle win by the Raiders… or clear example of throwing the game by the Jets. We’d ask Gregg Williams… but ya know, he’s been fried. 2) 15:26  — STATE SPORTS BETTING: As legislation has popped up around the country, an interesting issue has popped up in Connecticut. Who actually has jurisdiction? Is it the state or the Indian tribes since it’s close to the casino world. The devil is in the details. 3) 26:45 — MLB INSURANCE LAWSUIT: A bombshell lawsuit by all 30 MLB teams against their insurance carriers sent ripples through the legal community. They are seeking billions of dollars and, in so doing, offering up rare access to their books. The MLBPA is keeping a close eye with the CBA set to expire next year and heated negotiations on the horizon. It’s a battle of Goliath (MLB) versus Goliath (Insurance). We discuss. 4) 38:42 — ZION WILLIAMSON LAWSUIT: Is the Judge conflicted out due to their son’s financial interest in the case. We breakdown the result of the appeal and the next steps in the litigation. *** Have a question or something you want us to cover next episode?
