    The New York Islanders got key contributions from two British Columbia born players as they beat the Vancouver Canucks 6-2. Mathew Barzal had a goal and two assists while Parker Wotherspoon collected his first NHL point in front of friends and family. The Isles had to overcome another slow start but played very well in the final 40 minutes. They even got a power play goal and a shorthanded goal by JG Pageau.
    We also have our weekly Farm Report on all things Bridgeport Islanders. That team is struggling in part due to the fact that so many of their key players are now with the big club.
