Today’s society tries to convince us that we are in control and our life is all about us. But that isn’t true. Each and every one of us is part of God’s great design. It’s a power already at work in us.
As John stated in his first letter (1 John 2:17), "the world passes away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever."
In consequence, we must be careful with the things of the world, especially "the desires of the flesh and the eyes, along with the pride of life."
We live for God; we do not belong to earthly powers.
