Description

We’ve come over all Heavy Metal on this week’s show, with Steve and Remfry reviewing new albums from Rotting Christ (Black Metal), Crystal Lake (Metalcore) and Dangerface (Not Metal). The boys also recount their experience watching ‘the most metal show of all time’ in the form of At The Gates, Wolves in the Throne Room and the mighty mighty Behemoth tones, whilst elsewhere Remfry casts his beady eye over live shows from Cancer Bats and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes.
Trade-off this week comes courtesy of Beneath The Massacre with their debut full-length Mechanics of Dysfunction and Albany NY punks Drug Church with their third full-length album Cheer. But that’s not all ... this week we introduced our first range of https://shop.spreadshirt.co.uk/riot-act/ (Riot Act merchandise) (AKA Riot Gear) ... T-shirts, Hoodies, Longsleeves Snapback caps, Beanies, Badges, Mugs ... even a bloody drawstring bag for Pete’s sake! Head over to the Riot Act website and click ‘Merch’ to see our wares.

If you’re here then we’d like to assume you are a music fan with impeccable taste, and appreciate the job we’re trying to do in promoting the very best in alternative music. Both Stephen and Remfry (that’s us) have written and spoken millions of words about our favourite bands in everything from The Independent and The Guardian to Metal Hammer and Team Rock Radio, and beyond. We have dedicated large chunks of our lives to passionately promoting our favourite music, but never has there been an outlet that offers us the opportunity to rep for all the many genres of alternative music that we adore. Until now. Whether you are a fan of brutal death metal or wistful singer songwriters, three chord punk rock or sprawling prog epics, we believe that music in all of its forms deserves to be celebrated. So we started Riot Act to do exactly that. This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Chartable - https://chartable.com/privacy
