After a brief hiatus (which I explain), I'm back with Episode 92 of Locked On Cubs. The Cubs have had a rough go of it lately, losing five straight games -- most of which were extremely winnable. Duane Underwood Jr. made his big league debut on Monday night, and overall he pitched pretty well against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be enough for win.
The big news of the day was that Yu Darvish had a successful rehab start with the South Bend Cubs. By all accounts, he was commanding his pitches well and throwing strikes. But is everything good with Darvish? There may still be some gray clouds lingering over the Cubs' big-ticket free agent signing. In the final segment, I updated the standings and took a look at how the Cincinnati Reds have been doing lately.
