Description

In this episode, we are joined by Scott Fawcett (@scottfawcett), a PGA Tour strategy coach. Scott created DECADE golf, which is a systematic way to approach golf strategy. Scott played collegiately at Texas A&M for two years before getting sidelined by an injury. After college, Scott played professionally and had some success including a win on the Hooters Tour and playing in the US Open. While being sidelined with an injury, Scott spent lots of time researching golf strategy. Through this research he formulated DECADE Golf, a system now used by tons of players (including PGA Tour winners, USGA Champions, and NCAA All Americans) to find the optimal target during a round of golf. ---Follow us: Twitter - @TournamentCode Instagram - @thetournamentcode YouTube - The Tournament Code Hosted by: Cooper Collins (@coopercollins99) and Daniel Hamrin (@DanielHamrin)—(01:40) - the start of Scott’s golf career(04:47) - the start of DECADE Golf(13:24) - shot patterns(16:39) - common revelations after using DECADE(22:00) - entering stats(27:29) - using DECADE on Monday qualifiers(41:11) - peaking for competition(42:43) - practice rounds(46:43) - putting practice(53:26) - working with Zalatoris(58:35) - meditation(1:02:21) - driver strategy(1:08:25) - what Scott would tell himself as a junior golfer
