Today we are talking all about mass combat rules! There are currently no rules in 5th Ed D&D that handle combat between 5000 participants on either side, and I had hoped that with the release of Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen, we would have been given a hint of what to do. However, mass combat was addressed with the Warriors of Krynn boardgame - something that the creators had to do, but something that I didn't quite love. So I created a different mass combat system to combat this problem - I personally believe it's a great fix but perhaps you will disagree?
