Description

Jesus sends his promise to Earth and everyone living on it.

Two prophecies from the Old Testament of the Bible are fulfilled:

Psalm 68: You ascended on high, leading a host of captives in your train and receiving gifts among men, even among the rebellious, that the Lord God my dwell there.

Joel 2: And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days, I will pour out my Spirit.

On the third day, Jesus rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures. This wasn’t the only time in the Easter Story the Scriptures were fulfilled, though. Many more were fulfilled, most of which appear in the new podcast “In Fulfillment,” an Easter audio drama that shares the prophecies about Jesus’s death, burial, and resurrection through real lines from Scripture and anecdotes told from the perspective of Biblical characters. But why is this holiday so important? And why is prophecy and the fulfillment of them suddenly a part of this often-repeated story? Is it all just a trick to make people interested in this story again? It’s not a trick, but a very real and important aspect of the Easter Story. Almost every event in the Easter Story was told would happen over a few hundred years before through prophecies. This podcast will answer these questions. Hopefully, this podcast will provide a fresh perspective on the Easter Story.
